「最古に創られた異形者。光の異形者である仲裁者ハルマルトとは対なる存在。世界を監視する役割を担い、万事を判定する権限も持っていた。無の存在として世界を監視し続けた結果、執着心が皆無となった。達観した彼は、すべてを無に還そうとするも神々との戦いに敗れ、封印されてしまった。」
英単語・英語表現の解説
・sal：沙羅双樹の木
「霊樹」の英訳です。この木の下でお釈迦様が悟りを開かれたことから仏教世界で特別な木です。
初見では「審判の霊樹 Judge + Sal」が「裁判官 ＋ 沙羅双樹の木」と気づかず苦労しました。
・meteor: 隕石
FFファンは「メテオ」と言いたくなりますが、英語発音は「ミーティア」です。
・arbiter: 調停者、仲裁者
Tasked with ~: ～を課されて
過去分詞 tasked の分詞構文
・keep watch over ～: ～を監視し続ける
イディオム的に使います。
・unseen, unknown : 見られることなく、知られることなく
